Snow Storm People

From last winter when I was stuck in New York City because of a snow storm. My friends left me the keys to their apartment so I spent the time walking through the snow. I think the empty villages were the most fun part. Some of the little pubs and restaurants were open and it was just super nice sitting in there while the snow was blowing by outside the window. Funny, just a week before I was laying on the beach in San Diego. Anyway I added this image to the gallery in case you want it.

I know some of you would love to see some more colorful images here. I'm posting all the colours in form of music today.

Noorderlicht Photography Festival

I just returned from the Noorderlich festival. Steffi took me there for my birthday and we enjoyed both, beautiful Groningen as well as the fantastic photo works. With the title "City Life in the Urban Age" it couldn't meet my photography interests any better.I want to show you my two favorite contributions. The first one is Xavier Comas' series named "Tokyo Up, Down". You can find these great photographs here.The other thing I had the pleasure to lay my eyes on was a large selection of the works of Vivian Maier. Curiosity

While walking around in Havana I got to know an artist who offered to show me around in the city. One place he brought me to was the place he was raised at. It was the home of a woman he called his aunt. While we were resting there from walking in the sun all morning, my camera got more and more into the center of attention of some of the kids. After a few snaps and discovering themselves on the camera display, the guys started to have a blast. Snapping, looking, snapping, looking, snapping...I had the feeling they wouldn't stop if I wouldn't.
